Lysine is an essential amino acid which cannot be synthesized by the body and must be obtained from the diet. Henry Blooms Lysine 500 helps reduce the occurrence of facial cold sores, supports collagen formation and helps maintain healthy immune system function.

Ingredients 

Each capsule contains:
Lysine hydrochloride 625 mg
equivalent to lysine 500 mg

No added gluten, yeast, milk derivatives, salt, lactose, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Tips 

Lysine deficiency has been associated with asthma, poor energy levels and low levels of thyroid hormones. Lysine appears to work with the amino acid arginine to build muscle however excessive dietary arginine leads to the depletion of Lysine. People such as athletes, vegans and those with a diet high in refined sugars may be particularly susceptible to lysine deficiency.

Instructions 

Adults: Take 1 capsule daily to reduce the frequency of recurrence of cold sores. Take 2 capsules up to three times daily to reduce the severity and healing time of cold sores.
