These trees are eucalypts with black, deeply furrowed bark and produce strong durable timber with wide variations in leaf and flower sizes. All trees are uniquely Australian and widespread throughout Eastern Australia. The main honey producing species are Coastal Grey, Narrow-Leaved and Broad-leaved Ironbark. It also contains chemical elements such as Sodium, Calcium, Potassium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Selenium, Copper, Iron, Manganese, Chromium and Zinc. Honey is composed of two main sugars, fructose and dextrose. Honey is a healthy natural alternative to processed sugars and artificial sweeteners and these natural sugars are easily absorbed into the human body.
